This family was created inspired from the pure Garamond pattern set of fonts used by Egenolff and Berner, German printers in Frankfurt,by the end of sixteen century. All the experts said it was the best and more complete set of the time.
The italic style used with was the Granjon’s one, like in our “1543 Humane Jenson”. Added are a few fleurons from the same printers.
