The 1859 Solferino is a late XIXe French script overview. It was inspired from numerous French letters, from around 1850-1860, during the second French empire, under Napoleon the third . Most of them were written with very tiny characters on light sheets of paper, as the stamps prices were calculated from the letter’s weight.
