I designed this font while living in New Mexico in the mid-1990s. It was converted to an OpenType Pro font in 2005.
The idea was something like the freeware Salsa, but with stronger shapes and a more stylized exuberance. I had a font I had designed named Bilbo, loosely based on Gill Sans Ultra. So, using it as a mask, I traced it freehand in Fontographer (that’s all I had back in the day). Amazingly enough, it worked. I used this font a lot while living and working in New Mexico. Since I moved to Minnesota, not so much. But I still find it useful and fun. I hope you enjoy it.
