What does it mean? Dynamic font?
It means that every next letter you type automatically changes its own base line and connects the next letter at a different level. Absolutely all continuous fonts have a common rule. They always are connecting at the same level. Betterfly 2.0 is different! It simulates original calligrapher writer.
How does it work?
Absolutely easily! Just activate opentype feature: contextual alternates and type it. That is it! Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/3q9JZkEh9gg
Pre-made Swashes
Betterfly2 has plenty of integrated and individual swashes. Whenever you need to add quickly some nice swashes just type a number after a letter. For example on the 2nd screen you may see “bouncing” with heart in the beginning and long swash in the end. So to get this just type b5ouncing1 Not necessary to search for the glyph. It is fast and fabulous!
Individual swashes
Betterfly 2 also has 9 kind of individual swashes for beginning and ending. Just type --1 --2 or --9 same for ++1 or ==1 See help file for more details.
