Daphyre is an ultramodern headline typeface. The soft edges and techno strokes steer toward magnetic ink (MICR) inspired display types of the 1960’s. The wide, stark letterforms with their massive x-height bring Y2K aesthetics to mind. Instead of leaning into a zany take on the MICR style, Daphyre’s thick/thin choices are more austere. The stroke logic emphasizes verticals and where possible, places focus on the most character-defining aspect of each letterform. The result is a sumptuous typeface which casts an aura of high-end electronics, opulent weapons, and luxury vehicles. Almost all current Latin-based languages are supported, including Vietnamese, Cyrillic languages, and Greek.
