Derriey Vignettes is a dingbat font family. This typeface has five styles and was published by Intellecta Design.

This is the first font by Intellecta’s digitization of the fantastic heritage of Charles Derriey. Besides the original ornaments and fleurons, our collection has new interpretations and new designs based on the original work. A tour-de-force by Iza W.

Charles Derriey, (* 17. August 1808 in Moissey, Jura (Departement); deceased 11. February 1877 in Paris), was typefounder, punchcutter and printer in Paris. After his first years of learning the arts and crafts of typography at Besanaon, he created in 1839 his own print shop with a rotative printer and other equipment. His work, a typographic masterpiece, can be found in “Gravure et fonderie de C. Derriey : specimen-album (Paris : Rue Notre-Dame-des-Champs, 6&12, 1862). It is famous for his beautiful ornaments. The foundry was sold to Turlot on October 1, 1880.
