Dolce strikes a balance between the orderly and the informal, resulting in a type of writing that flows naturally. Small caps are included for all-caps setting, as well as extensive language support.
Based in Berlin, the digital foundry Anatoletype was founded by Elena Albertoni and Pascal Duez in 2005, specializing in type design and font development.
We draw our inspiration from a variety of vernacular sources, as well as manual experimentation, drawing and handwriting. Technology allows us to revisit past issues or ideas, to give them a new interpretation and to make them evolve into a contemporary context.
The typeface library ranges from
Dolce, an award winning spirited script face, to DejaRip, a functional sans-serif designed for electronic devices and web design, to Acuta, a contemporary and robust all-purpose serif family.
