Fāng Zhèng Shū Sòng is based on the SongEr font from the Shanghai Institute of Printing Technology. At nearly 60 years old, the original design was intended for the most commonly used small-size text typesetting.

Fāng Zhèng Shū Sòng is straight and beautiful, with a moderate ZhongGong (similar to counter) design making it a very classic typeface.
