The Firenza™ fonts are based on a design that was in use at the turn of the 19th century. While the character shapes resemble those that became common on typewriters through the second half of the 20th century, it is interesting to note that these designs actually pre-date Courier by more than 50 years.
CONDENSED COMPANION
If you order the full family package you also get companion fonts which are not quite as wide and can be used more like normal typewriter text.
FULL CHARACTER SET
Each font in the Firenza(TM) family has a full character set of 232+ letterforms, with all characters designed in the style of the font. Some fractions and the Euro symbol are also included.
