This old-style Mincho typeface has some key differences from the existing Tsukushi Mincho typeface. It is characterized by a beautiful starting lip at the head of some strokes, lively and dynamic upward tails (hane), and sweeping curved strokes (harai). Its smaller counter spaces enable each character to represent its natural, true and essential letter-form, not only its outer graphical appearance. When you compose text in this typeface, it is as if you can hear the sound of typography. The kanji and kana characters have a clearly visible dignified style and the Latin and number glyphs are designed in the style of Garamond.
