Lienhart Holle probably felt blue about his use of blue. But we can know our place in the world thanks to him. This is a re-cut of a typeface that Mr. Holle used in his epic edition of Ptolemy’s Cosmographia that dates to the early 1480’s, even predating italics. Fortunately we added italics following the early fashion of only affecting the lower case.
