Early Texas patriots had fascinating penmanship. In researching my Texas Hero font several years back, I had occasion to pore over copies of letters by the likes of Thomas J. Rusk, Mirabeau B. Lamar, Stephen F. Austin and his sister Emily Austin Perry. Eventually, I would replicate the hands of all four of those historical Texans—along with a fifth: the bold yet graceful strokes of Sam Houston, THE Texas hero. Houston Pen comes with many discretionary ligatures, contextual alternates, both lining and old-style figures, an inkblot or two, and complete Central/Eastern European alphabets.
