ITC Mendoza Roman, designed in 1991 by José Mendoza, is a handsome typeface with uncommon evenness and proportion; the italic is strong, yet graceful, and highly readable. Mendoza says of his work that he "always tries to mix rigor and sensitivity, and the feeling of a hand's gesture to his designs."
