Josef Sans was designed by František Štorm and published by Storm.
Josef Sans contains 10 styles and family package options.
The idea to add an original sans-serif to the Tyfa's Roman got Jan Solpera at teatime in Domanín during the "typographic weather" at the end of October 2013. We started to work on this interesting task immediately. We already had something to build upon: Týfa left his opinion on sans-serif type in several versions of Juvenis, then Antikva itself offers a wide range of building blocks for a sans-serif alphabet. The proportions are chosen so that the new sans would combine well with the favourite Academica. It has five weights with italics, and small caps, Cyrillics, numerals, ligatures and other OpenType features coincide exactly with the Tyfa Antikva. It can be used everywhere you need an extremely readable and stylish font.
