Junior Ranger FONT Download

JUNIOR RANGER is a fun, and quirky, sans-serif (uppercase) display font inspired by vintage Smokey Bear campaign pieces from the 50's & 60's. We developed for use in our 2019 Smokey Bear brand case study and thought it was too much fun not to share.

During our project we dug through hundreds and hundreds of documents, ads, mailers, posters, buttons, pins and more to develop a font that felt organic to the campaigns history while also helping it to be less stiff and more friendly and open. The font has fun characteristics in each letter that evoke a sense of vintage sign painters letters, as well as classic typefaces like Futura and Avenir.
