The art of Japanese calligraphy have the following 3 basic techniques Tome(stop stroke), Hane(pring stroke)and Harai(sweap stroke). They are offen used at the end of a stroke. They are associated with the Serifs of wild-west types. We attempted to mix Japanese Brush stroke and Ninja with Western glyph and Cowboy. Killernuts is expressive of Ninja's mystics & suspense and Cowboy's wildness & hardiness.
