“Orthodox and gentle” - MaruminFuji’s kana characters are designed to feel established and relaxed with relatively large counter-spaces and a larger than average character size, closer to that of kanji characters, so the text aligns beautifully. The letter forms provide a soft, calm feeling. This typeface can be used for a wide variety of purposes.
The same Ideographic (kanji) characters are shared by all the Marumin variations. The design of kanji characters of Marumin is based on the Mincho type style in Japan, but it has stroke elements with rounded features. The terminals of its horizontal and vertical strokes, dots, tome and harai stroke shapes are all rounded. Marumin establishes a new category of “Rounded Minchotai” with seven kana variations in total.
