The design of Kinuta Minchotai’s kanji, kana, Latin characters and numbers is based on two design concepts: “elegance” and “ma (space)”. The kanji characters, which use no straight lines, look smooth and elegant, especially in larger type sizes. Latin characters integrate elements of the kanji characters, creating an unprecedented collaboration between the West and the East. A reader’s eyes will glide smoothly over text set in Kinuta Minchotai. Three weights are available.
Kinuta Font Factory’s font development starts from our inherited traditional letter forms and introduces modern elements. Each of our fonts is unique and novel, but retains orthodox characteristics – leaving you feeling the excitement of discovery with a feeling of comfort.
