Bruce Rogers is famous for designing with Lanston Monotype ornaments, but he also designed many of the ornaments himself. The 80 ornaments found in this collection can be arranged in a wide variety of patterns for striking borders in the style of Bruce Rogers or endless other decorative combinations. Characters are spaced evenly so fleurons can be easily joined together, even in word processing programs.
USING THE FONT:
The leading should be set to the same point size and the font point size (ie, 24pt font should have 24 point leading, default leading is usually a bit larger than the font's point size). The key chart shows key access positions but users of Adobe's InDesign will find the Glyph palette a helpful tool for quickly inserting ornaments as needed.
The trademark Bruce Rogers thistle can be found appropriately
the trademark symbol position. All characters in this font are even widths for precise alignment when typing rows to make borders. Some characters are half-widths 12345678!@#$%^&*;:'",<.>
A half-width empty space is found in the hyphen (-) position.
A quarter-width empty space is found in the Underscore (_) position.
The characters found in 1-4 & 5-8 positions and kerned so that if typed in sequence in a program that supports kerning, they will join together to make a circular ornament.
