Designed by David Kerkhoff,
Northumbria is a historical font family. This typeface has two styles and was published by Hanoded.
Northumbria was modeled on original 7th and 8th century monastic gospel books from Northern England. The glyphs were carefully chosen to reflect those used by the monks from that time. Of course, some glyphs did not exist in the 7th and 8th centuries, so I created them myself.
Northumbria comes with kerning, stylistic alternates for the lower case letters and a modest range of ligatures. These open type features will enrich your texts and designs.
Needless to say, Northumbria comes with an extended language support.
