NPSGeo1940s is a vintage geometric display type family inspired by the geometric type that was widely used in the 1940s. It can be used to create a retro feel or designs with a modern, elegant style.

This family has two members:

  • NPSGeo1940s, sharp edges
  • NPSGeo1940sPress, soft edges - mimicking the soft edge of ink on paper

NOTE These fonts work well for logos, branding, packaging, headlines or short sentences. This is a display type family. It wasn't designed for significant passages of text. It contains only the very basic glyphs.

You may ask, "Why such a strange name?" NPS - National Park Service (I discovered this look from a NPS map of Great Smoky Mountains National Park from the early 1940s. Geo - for geometric. 1940s - for the era in which it was in use.

I would love to see how you use it.
