Ocovilla is a playful and offbeat font with a papercut look. It was inspired by a vintage magazine ad for leasing a Palm Springs home. The dance of the lettering and the quirky styling of the the words "Ocotillo Lodge" were screaming to be expanded out to a full typeface with an expanded language glyph set. It contains a small caps for a lowercase, maintaining the same subtle bounce of the original reference. Perfect for a range of designs that require a heavy handed personal touch.

Sometimes the inspiration for my typefaces comes from vintage ephemera, and this is the perfect example of that. Magazines of the 50's and 60's were littered with custom lettering for various ads and titling. The unique bounce and handcut look of the lettering caught my eye instantly. It was fun experimenting with the wonkiness of the papercut style. I hope you'll have as much fun using the font as I had creating it.
