Johann Schönsperger der Ältere was a the printer in Augsburg Germany during the last 20 years of the 15th century. He printed several editions of a pre-Luther bible. This particular font is interesting in that it was used by the first female printer, Anna Rügerin, who was Johann's sister. The exemplar for this font is GTF 1:120G, and was used in her edition of Eike of Repgow's Sachsenspiegel.
