Sideline 1905 is the third font in a series I'm archiving from an old architectural correspondence course book I found one fateful day while estate sale shopping with my wife.
I use this font in my work specifically when I'm looking for a hand-drawn feel that doesn't feel overly-perfected and kind of feels like it could been seen on a Wild Bill advertisement, know what I mean?
I like to think of the ad copy that was written in the margins of images or the neatly lettered correspondences between the east and the west - this font is truly a great balance of romantic and restrained. It rides the line well and proves itself versatile once you get to know it.
Suggested use: women's suffrage newsletters, camp tees, social post overlays.
