Designed by Hans Eduard Meyer for the Stempel foundry in 1968,
Syntax is based on both Renaissance minuscule writing and Roman lapidary capitals.
The design is a blend of a monoline sans serif with a more lively humanistic roman, resulting in a highly legible sans serif type with a wide range of uses, from captions and text to packaging and signage.
