Motivation: We were interested in creating a more conceptual set of dingbats. It seemed to us that dingbats and clip art fonts currently available were extremely literal in their meaning or had no meaning at all - they were a piece of cake, or a car, or a little snowflake. We wanted to make a set of icons where meaning was implied where there was none intended. That way, the meaning of the icons will change, over time, by the context in which they appear. After all, what does a bee with a hat really mean? We are anxious to find out. The illustrations are imbued with meaning by those images and text in their proximity - the mind abhors a vacuum.
